About the exhibition

A complex of 20th-century buildings: a farmhouse (a 100-year-old building transferred to the museum), a barn, a black or smoke bath, a smithy, a pottery workshop with a kiln room. Ancient tools and household objects are displayed in them. The museum has 2 rooms for seminars and celebrations.
By prior arrangement, you can taste the “wonders” of Latgale’s culinary heritage – maple cakes, ship, pearl barley porridge, which in Andrupene is called “pancak with cymus”, asuskas, cheese, butter with garlic and herbs, herbal tea.
After a hearty meal, you can take a stroll through the Andrupene bog trail with the intoxicating smell of chervil, pink cranberries and the sound of birds.
