Drift Arena – educational motorsport tours for schoolchildren in Liepāja

DRIFT ARENA is a sports and entertainment centre in Liepāja, centred around the Wolftrike, a drift trike developed in Latvia. It allows everyone to enjoy a genuine drifting experience on a safe track.

Visitors can spend time in the games area free of charge, competing in various board games and playing on PlayStation, as well as learning about the history of the Wolftrike and drawing inspiration from Nik Nak Drift.

DRIFT ARENA, in partnership with GARAGE 1965, offers schoolchildren the chance to combine entertainment with a new experience – to discover the world of motorsport through exciting tours, the history of drifting, safety and motorsport culture, as well as to try rides on the track for themselves.

Two excursion options are available for school groups.

1. DRIFT ARENA educational tour

A focused and exciting programme lasting approximately two hours, taking place in the Drift Arena facilities and on the track.

• a history of drifting and its development;
• the rules and judging of drift competitions;
• a discussion on safety and car culture;
• a practical session on the track;
• 2 Wolftrike rides for each pupil;
• results on the Drift Arena school leaderboard.

2. DRIFT ARENA + GARAGE 1965 – Liepāja Motorsport Day

A more comprehensive educational programme for pupils who wish not only to learn about drifting and try rides on the track, but also to trace the history of rallying in Liepāja across several generations.

• the full Drift Arena educational tour programme;
• 2 Wolftrike rides for each pupil;
• a tour of the ‘Garage 1965’ rally history exhibition;
• historic rally cars and other exhibits;
• a story about the development of rally technology and culture;
• the origins of the ‘Kurzeme’ rally and Liepāja’s motorsport heritage;
• a coordinated daily itinerary for both tours.

School trips can be booked on weekdays from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

ℹ️ Important

Height restriction for rides on the track – 1.20 m or above. If a child is not yet 1.20 m tall, they may participate in rides accompanied by an adult, sitting on the adult’s lap.
