ABOUT US
Not far from the Žagarkalns ski base in Cēsis, on the banks of the Gauja River, surrounded by forest, we have created a tent and caravan campsite, as well as a water tourist base with boat and raft rental.
Boat trips on the Gauja, exploring the Cēsis area on bicycles, hiking with orienteering and challenges – all this and more awaits you on a class excursion offered by the Žagarkalns recreation centre.
ADVISITION
- We invite you to choose cycling routes of different lengths and levels of difficulty through the town of Cesis and its surroundings together with our cycling guide.
We will take you to the Ergļi cliffs, Lenčupīte, Sarkana cliffs, the sculptor Kārlis Jansons’ memorial home “Herring”, Zvārta Rock, Raiskums Lake, Āraši Lake and other undiscovered places. Along the way, the group may be given various test tasks with active tourism elements.
- Boat trips will also give you a real pleasure while enjoying the beautiful banks of the Gauja River. The trip is safe, as each child is issued with a compulsory life jacket and the group is accompanied by our professional chaperone, who is also a lifeguard and a tourist instructor.
- Special offer – combined itineraries are also offered to school groups , allowing them to enjoy a hike, a boat trip or a cycling expedition in the same excursion. Maybe you’ll find it intriguing to take part in a forest battle?

PRICES
Standard prices for boat trips (from 15 people):
- 1-day boat trip: 10.00 euro per person (one guide per day is 40 euro)
- 2-day boat trip: 15.00 euro per person (one guide per two days is 80 euro)
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
We offer two-day excursions for schoolchildren. Interesting and exciting itineraries with overnight stays in tents or in a guesthouse.
