About us

A visit to Rancho Ozolmājas is a pleasant and heart-warming experience not only for children, but also for adults. Approximate duration of stay 1,5 hours. 8 ha of land are reserved for the residents of the ranch.

Here you will meet – camels, African wild Watusi cows with giant horns, little dwarf Zebo cows, Highland goths and domestic Yaks. You’ll be delighted by the gorgeous long-haired Irish Tinker horses, Shetland ponies and donkeys of all breeds – mini donkeys, classic greys, speckled and shaggy French Poitou donkeys and, with a powerful tenor, the all-white albino donkey Ringo with light blue eyes. Different breeds of goats – Valais black-necked mountain goats, Girgenten goats with corkscrew horns from the Sicilian region, dwarf goats. Sheep breeds – the huge Swiss mountain sheep – the Valais Black-necked, the Hungarian Rack, the German Swamp Sheep – the Heidschnücke, the four-horned Jacobs, the Romanov, the Suffolk, the Dorper and the tiny mini-French Quessant dwarf sheep. Peruvian alpacas, kangaroos, maras, Vietnamese dwarf pigs and white spiny pigs. African ostriches, Australia’s largest bird Emu and South America’s largest bird Nanda, gorgeous bright blue-green peacocks and a pair of royal white peacocks, ornamental pigeons and colourful pheasants, black swans, as well as domestic birds – turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens. And of course rabbits, lots of rabbits, who have their own ranch where you can go inside to cuddle, pet and feed the little fluffies. Welcome!

• We offer a special challenge – FIND and RECOGNISE. A separate booklet summarises all the residents of the Ranch, find them and make a note in the booklet. The price of the booklet is 0,50 EUR.
• Coffee and Farmer’s ice-cream constantly during the summer season;

• Made body scrubs from chestnuts and herbs for use in the sauna;
• Branch eggs – in spring season;
• Picnic areas with barbecue and fireplace, free of charge for visitors;
• Fireplace gazebo for rent/semi-open, for small parties.

Groups of 25 or more on request :

• Bullet soups, thick and hearty, cooked on the fire /beef, lamb, pork/;
• Pancakes – kefir/millet with home-made jam; kefir/millet chocolate pancakes; potato with cream garlic dill sauce and cowboy marmalade;
• Ranch Waffles large – sweet, with whipped cream, jam and chocolate sauce; cheese, with creme fraiche and salted caramel; savoury with egg, bacon, pickles and cowboy marmalade;
• Coffee and tea in thermoses;
• Homemade lemonade;
• Hot drinks on the campfire.

Photo sessions:

• On the visitors’ route;
• by horse, pony or donkey. We offer “country” style hats, neckerchiefs – at extra cost;
• with camel;
• in the horse paddock;
• goat stop;

Pancake/waffle Sundays are organised regularly on the farm.

Every year we take part in the LIAA’s House Café Days, attracting the largest number of visitors in Latvia. In 2024, almost 800 guests from all over Latvia attended.

As the farm is also involved in the additional industry of meat sheep farming, we only offer sheep produced on our own farm.

IMPORTANT

The Ozolmājas Ranch is accessible for people with reduced mobility.
It is allowed to visit with a pet on a lead.
