Most of the area is coniferous forests on aspen. There are six protected plant species typical of ash or ash-dominated forests: wood aspen, sand esparget, narrow-leaved lac, Ruis dragonhead, dwarf birch, meadow aspen. The Blue Mountains are a series of rolling hills – part of the Great Kangari Range. It is believed that a Liv castle mound was located here. Nowadays, it is a favourite place of rest for the inhabitants and visitors of Ogre. Area 312 ha. The highest peak is the castle mound – Zilais kalns (Blue Hill), which offers a spectacular view. In winter, the nature park has a floodlit cross-country skiing trail, which offers excellent mountain terrain, and in summer, a network of trails is open to Nordic walkers, cyclists and other recreationists.
Observation tower
Opened at the end of 2013, it is located at the highest point of the Ogre Blue Mountains Nature Park, about 90m above sea level. The height of the tower is 20m. You can see the whole town of Ogre, surrounded by green forest, looking towards Ikšķile you can see the island of St. Meinard, and on clear days you can even see Riga and the Zaliusala Television Tower.
Viewing platform
The viewing platform offers a wonderful view of the Dubkalni reservoir. Located at the steep embankment of the Dubkalni reservoir. A beautiful wooden staircase leads from the viewing platform to the reservoir, winding through a grove of young pine trees.
A rope and wooden structure track in the trees, with three levels of difficulty. Total length 600 m, height up to 11 m, descents 30 m and 70 m. The track consists of 65 attractions/obstacles.
Cross-country ski track
A 12 km long track connecting the towns of Ikšķile and Ogre, groomed and maintained in snow and frost conditions. The 7 km long track is illuminated, making it usable even in the darkest hours of the day. It is illuminated from October to mid-March. The lighting is switched on by sensors at dusk and switches off at 22.00. Thanks to the topography of the park, there are rides of varying difficulty with scenic views. Races are often held on the track. Equipment rental is available in winter for both small and large skiers.

Well-maintained playground for children with swings, wooden obstacles and beautiful wooden figures to climb and take beautiful photos. Wooden treadmills and other equipment for the more active visitors who want to exercise and keep fit in the open air.
Resting places by the water (equipped with barbecue)
The Nature Park prohibits campfires, so there are picnic and barbecue areas where you can relax safely without worrying about harming nature.
