The Šlītere Blue Mountains Lookout Tower is located on the Dundaga – Mazirbe highway at the Šlītere Blue Mountains escarpment. The Blue Mountains of Šlītere, or the old shore of the Baltic Ice Lake, are about 80 metres above sea level and are the border between the Dundaga Elevation and the Maritime Lowlands. Climbing the tower, you will be almost 100 metres above sea level, so you will be able to see the sea through the forests, which is a little more than five kilometres away as the crow flies.
