ABOUT US

Ungurmuiža is a harmonious ensemble of 18th century wooden buildings, surrounded by giant oak trees, and occupies an important place among Latvia’s cultural heritage sites. Built in 1732 by Baron von Kampenhausen as his family home, there are no similar Baroque wooden buildings in Latvia today with interiors so richly decorated with wall paintings.

The park pavilion, built in 1753, is one of the few remaining mid-18th century park architecture structures in Latvia. The pavilion, also known as the Tea House, was restored between 1974 and 1978.
