ABOUT US

Koknese is a Hanseatic city and has been an important centre of trade, leisure and crafts since ancient times. The owner of the craft centre Inese Kāpiņa is a leather craftswoman with more than 30 years of experience. In order to continue the traditions of the old trades and to preserve and pass on the knowledge of this profession to other interested people and to younger generations, the craft, recreation and training centre “Mazā kāpa” was created. During the excursion you will have the opportunity to participate in a creative workshop and enjoy tea by the river. Pupils will learn the secrets of leatherwork and make a unique souvenir – a keyring or a bracelet.

VISIT

• take a breather by the fire and enjoy herbal tea on the banks of the River Pērse after a day of active work.
