Pace is the only place in Kurzeme where wool is still processed and, as far as is known, the only place in Latvia where the full wool processing process is carried out.

The tradition of wool processing in Pace dates back to the 19th century. In the years of the first Latvian Republic, there was a wool mill here. During the Soviet era, Pace had the second largest household service system workshop in Latvia, which processed sheep wool.
