ABOUT US
Liepāja 17th-19th centuries. The interior museum “Mrs Hoijeres Guest House” at 24 Kungu Street invites you to experience the feeling, atmosphere, taste and smell of the presence of history. After several years of abandonment, extensive restoration and museum exhibition works, the historic building is now open to Liepāja residents and visitors, and serves as a source of knowledge of Liepāja’s history and an important tourist attraction.
The Liepāja Interior Museum, or “Mrs Hoijeres Guest House”, has restored the unique late 17th century layout on the ground floor, highlighting and emphasising the values and interior objects found during the restoration in the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
Ascending to the second floor, in the former attic, the visitor enters a former goods warehouse and rooms built in the second half of the 19th century, where the family apartment of the notary Christoph Wilhelm Stender’s relatives was located.
In addition to the museum, the building houses the “Mrs Hoyer’s Tavern”, where you can enjoy a meal in the style of the 17th-18th centuries and sip coffee and tea with exquisite cakes and pastries in the Stender family confectionery, which was designed in the style of the 19th century. atmosfērai nama otrajā stāvā.
