The park was created thanks to the initiative of the association “Youth for Baltinava”, implementing the project “For you, for me and for all of us – let it be in Baltinava”. The idea of creating the park was born by the association “Youth for Baltinava”, which wanted to clean up the cultural and historical places of their native region, which have great value in the memories of their ancestors. One of these places was the Baltinava Old Park, which had lost its former splendour over the years, hiding behind overgrown river banks. Thanks to the support of the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation, the association “Youth for Baltinava” was able to realise its ideas.
The park has a cobbled pathway and silhouettes of the characters from the well-known play “Ontona i Annes”, where you can have your photo taken, taking on the characters of the play’s heroes. A gazebo has been built, which is a great place for visitors to relax, swings and a photo frame have been installed in nature, which allows you to capture great photos of yourself, family and friends, as well as benches and a bonfire to create a pleasant atmosphere.
