The greatest pride of Preili’s historical heritage is the Preili Manor complex with its beautiful park.

The romantic landscape garden that has survived to the present day, Preili Park, was created in the mid-19th century and is still one of the most remarkable country parks in Latvia today. The park covers an area of 41 hectares, of which approximately 13 hectares are covered by ponds and canals, and is home to 25 species of trees and shrubs, among them a number of grand trees. Preili Park is the largest landscape park in Latvia, in the territory of the city.

The Preili Manor House is an architectural monument of national importance. Every single element: the castle, the chapel, the stables, the gates, the gatekeeper’s house and the park are also national architectural monuments.

The castle has been under renovation for 3 years.
