The 144 ha territory of the park is one of the most scenically beautiful places in Zemgale, where the rivers Vilce and Rukūze meet through ravines, diversifying the landscape of the flat farmland in the region. Already in early spring, blue, white and yellow honeysuckles bloom on the banks of the rivers. The Baron’s Trail, created within NATURA 2000, will be the right place for educational walks, hiking, jogging, nature exploration or relaxing in the fresh air. Listen to the sounds of Mother Nature, study animal tracks and do other things related to nature observation, which can be highlighted in the story by the environmental guide.
A chance to visit the Vilce Castle Mound, the confluence point of the two rivers. On the banks of the River Rukūze you can see a Devonian sandstone outcrop, and quench your thirst at Lielmātes spring.
In the park territory there is Vilce water mill, Vilce manor buildings with a castle and a park, a small viewing platform – Love Hill, several beech trees (oak, linden, pine, larch), Lielmātes spring, Vella ravine, Vilce castle mound, the confluence of Vilce and Rukūze rivers, Zaķi meadow, Devonian sandstone outcrop (Nāriņu rock), Mūrmuiža battle site 1935.The monument (Swedish Monument), the Stone Bridge with the Vella Depth and Swedish treasures, the Vilce and Svēt River confluence and the Mūrmuiža Mill.
Along the Vilce River from the Vilce Watermill up to the Swedish Monument, it is possible to walk along the banks of moderate difficulty for about 7.5 km.
