Didžis Jaunzems’ environmental object “Water” is designed as a symbolic circle. Its surface is made of 2625 metal droplets that sway with the help of the wind flow, creating an imitation of the sound of water. Each droplet sways on its own, but when united in a single flow, it represents the true power of nature and symbolises unity.
The environmental object “Water” was created as a result of cooperation between the municipalities of Rugaji, Balvi, Viļaka, Baltinava and Kārsava as part of the project “Loba doba Zīmeļlatgolā, or Discover the Nature Explorer in You!” Within the project. The message that the five environmental objects of Northern Latgale reveal to their visitors is aimed at making people pay attention to the nature around them, listen to it and respect what it has to say.
