It was created by sculptor Gļebs Panteļējevs and architect Andris Veidemanis.
The object has two sides, symbolically revealing different eras. The front side, made of polished aluminium casting, symbolises the 21st century, while the back side, made of rusted cast iron, depicts the 17th century.
