Discover the highest cast iron lighthouse on Estonian beaches!

Tahkun Lighthouse, located at the northern tip of the Hiiuma Peninsula, was built in the second half of the 19th century. The tower, made of cast-iron plates from France, extends 42.7 metres above sea level.

A metal spiral staircase climbs to the top of the lighthouse. It also gives access to the outer circular balcony, which offers a magnificent view of both land and sea. The balcony floor, decorated with a lace trellis, is also fascinating.

In summer, a small café and gift shop are open at the foot of the tower. Asea walking trail with audio benchesstarts from the tower .
