The lookout tower is located on the Simisalu hill, in the village of Vetepere, in the Järva County, near the RMK Simisalu Nature House.

The height of the tower is 18 metres. You can reach the top of the tower by stairs. From the top of the tower you have a picturesque view of the farmsteads of the village of Vetepere, which stand out in this generally marshy landscape.

This view will be of particular interest to those who have read the first part of A.H. Tamsar’s novel ‘Truth and Justice’, as it shows the nature of the area around Vargamet and the location of the farms.

Around the tower, on the hill, there is a large camping area where more than 10 tents can be pitched.
