The museum was established in 1966 in the former parish school building on the initiative of Kārlis Egle, a former teacher of the school and a literary scholar. The Old School of Druviena offers a unique opportunity to visit the 19th century school. The school is a unique opportunity to visit a Latvian rural school of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The classroom, the bedroom and the room where the bread chests are kept are open to the public. The museum also has an ethnographic exhibition, which reflects the everyday life and occupations of the people of Druven since the 19th century.
The museum also invites you to art exhibitions and traditional events.
