ABOUT US
The Latgale Zoo’s exhibition and laboratory is home to a variety of exotic animals, monkeys, snakes, crocodiles, turtles, iguanas, scorpions and other inhabitants of tropical forests and Latvian landscapes. Anyone interested can see the animals, book a guided tour, attend a thematic lesson in the conference room, take part in competitions for nature friends and other activities. The zoo’s staff carries out research work in the field of ecology, zoo culture and ecological pedagogy, studies animal life and tries to preserve endangered Latvian animal species.
ENTRANCE FEE
- Adults = 6.00 €
- Pupils, students, seniors = 3.00 €
- Preschool children, orphanage students, disabled persons of group I with an accompanying person and disabled persons of group II, tour group leaders – free
- Zoo guide service (1h) in the national language for groups of up to 20 persons = 20.00 €
- Zoo guide service (1h) in a foreign language for a group of up to 20 persons = 30.00 €
- Guide service for the Biologists’ Tour of the Zoo (1h) in national language for up to 15 persons = 30.00 €
- Guide service for a biologist tour of the Zoo route (1h) in a foreign language for up to 15 persons = 40.00 €
- Guide service for the Friends of Nature Park tour (1h) in the national language for up to 30 persons = 40.00 €
- Guide service for the Friends of Nature Park tour (1h) in a foreign language for up to 30 persons = 50.00 €
