🏛️ About Lukiškės Prison 2.0
Lukiškės Prison 2.0 is a historic site in the centre of Vilnius, where the former prison premises have now been transformed into a centre for music, art, history and culture.
Lukiškės Prison was closed in 2019. Today, visitors have the opportunity to explore the authentic former prison cells on a guided tour and learn about the history of this unusual place.
We offer specially designed interactive educational tours for school groups. During these tours, pupils can view the authentic former prison cells and other rooms, as well as learn more about the justice and penal systems.
🎓 Educational tours for school pupils
The tour is designed as an exciting adventure in history and social studies. Guided by a tour leader, pupils walk through the former prison’s premises and explore a place that was closed off to the majority of society for over a century.
The authentic setting helps pupils gain a better understanding of the prison’s history, the daily lives of the inmates, and the workings of the justice and penal systems.
The tours are suitable for school groups wishing to complement their visit to Vilnius with an unusual and educational experience in a historic setting.

- Duration of the tour: 1.5 hours
- Prices: 20 EUR per pupil
- Tour language: English
- Maximum number of pupils per guide: 17 pupils
- Forthe teacher or group leader: one person per class may join the tour free of charge
We can also accommodate larger groups of pupils. Group size is flexible – depending on the number of participants, we will provide the necessary number of guides to ensure the tour is comfortable and engaging for everyone.
