The trail starts in the old town of Bauska on the left bank of the Mēmele River behind the intersection of Dambja and Rūpniecības streets. From Ķirbaksala it continues along the right bank of the Mūsa to and returns to the intersection of Brīvības Boulevard and Uzvaras Street.

The trail offers a wonderful view of the old dam, the rocky and rocky bend of the Mēmele and the northern slope of the castle. The Lielupe River starts behind Ķirbaksala, and on the way back you can see dolomite outcrops on the bank of the Mūsa River, where in spring you can definitely see the warming kingfishers.
