Environmental attractions:

“Mirror Surface Hideout – Tribute to the Resistance Movement” The poet hid for 5 years (1946-1951) in a hiding place / bunker under the floor in her “Lazdini” home, which was built by her brother, then the whole family was arrested, the poet spent 5 years (1951-1956) in Siberia. There was no possibility to reproduce this hiding place in the Poetry Barn, so we adopted the idea of scenographer Ivars Noviks to raise this hiding place to the surface level, creating it out of polished metal, where the outside world, which was unreachable for the poet for 5 years, is depicted as a mirror, while the inside – darkness, which could not break the inner strength. On the interior walls – fragments of poems written at the time, in the poet’s own handwriting, in the underground magazine “Dzimtene”;

“Poetry Hives” Two poetry hives, 30 poetry layers, contain poems and excerpts from a diary;

“Stones of Writing” Sculptor Ģirts Burvis, inspired by the poet’s work and the diary’s message of what a monument to the Martuževi family could look like, has created LOGA / KRUSTA STONES. The garden also features the WRITTEN WRITINGS stone and the LIEPAS stone. The Bronislava Scripture stones will develop gradually in the garden environment – 2 more stones have just been placed and are waiting for an artistic solution. Meanwhile, a small moss-covered boulder, brought from the crossroads of the Slavit village roads by the Bronislava family, has been placed in the introduction – as a symbol of the family’s origins.
