At the foot of Zilākalns, in the premises of an old water tower and in a modern annex, there is the Zilākalns Cultural History and Visitor Centre, where you can see the historical exhibition about the natural object and sanctuary Zilaiskalns, the village of Zilākalns, as well as about the industrial object – the water tower. Visitors can take a virtual reality tour of the historic narrow-gauge railway locomotive and take a flight above Zilākalns. During the visit, the Tower guides will tell various stories about Zilākalns and the village, and take you up to the top floor of the Tower to have a look at the village of Zilākalns.

After the excursion, you can take a ride on the narrow-gauge railway tracks that used to lead to the peat bog.
