You have arrived in the highest area of Saaremaa. The Allikasoo educational trail, which starts in theViidumäe nature reserve centre car park, winds down to an 18 m dune. As you walk through Allikasoo, you’ll learn about the Cenozoic and how it differs from a normal marsh, whatthe Antsülusjärv lake dune looks likeand what used to be the seabed. There are many protected marsh plants along the path and in the forest, including the Saaremaa creeper (Rhinanthus osiliensis),which is native to Saaremaa.
