PAR MUMS

The Latvian Museum of Agriculture offers schoolchildren and families a comprehensive insight into the history of rural life and the development of technology from the 19th century to the present day.

The museum’s extensive exhibition offers:

  • a collection of tractors, combines and trucks,
  • a collection of cars, motorcycles and bicycles,
  • a wide range of machinery for cultivation, tillage, harvesting and processing,
  • a collection of horse carriages and harness,
  • melioration, surveying and surveying tools,
  • tools and products of rural craftsmen – blacksmiths and carpenters,
  • woodworking tools,
  • household articles and household tools,
  • laundry washing and ironing appliances,
  • laundry, weaving and spinning tools,
  • milking and beekeeping utensils,

SUPPLY

  • guided tours,
  • museum educational programmes for schoolchildren,
  • creative workshops and games,
  • space rental for events,
  • hire of objects from the museum collection.

PICES

Entrance fee:

  • Adults – 4,00 EUR
  • pupils, students – 2,00 EUR
  • Families (2 adults and at least 2 children) – 6,00 EUR
  • free of charge for pre-school children, accompanying teachers, museum staff, orphans, children without parental care and clients of long-term social care and social rehabilitation institutions

Museum guide service (for groups of up to 10 people) – 10,00 EUR
Museum guide service for a group of more than 10 people (for each additional visitor) – 0,50 EUR

Additional services

  • Picnic area with fireplace available in the museum area.
  • Cultural institutions can deposit travelling exhibitions on various topics related to agriculture.

The museum is suitable for wheelchair users and people with pushchairs.
