ABOUT US

Only 20 km from Riga, in Zaķumuiža, there is a beautiful place for rest – Sauleskalns on the picturesque bank of the river Lielā Jugla. We offer excursions for schoolchildren – the Sun Trail – a trail of Latvian holidays and signs with an attractive game, creative workshops, boat rides on the river. Children learn about Latvian traditions through crafts – making trains, puzzles or figurines from natural materials, competing in relays and listening to birds’ voices.

Excursions for schoolchildren including:

• workshop (activities related to Latvian traditions, suitable for the age of the pupils, e.g. making a toy train, making puzzles, making a rush figurine, etc.)
• Latvian holiday trail – “Sun trail” with game and competition elements, agility relay,
• bird trail,
• percussion object “The Sound Ox”,
• amusement playground.

Duration of excursions 3 hours. Excursions for children from 6 to 11 years.

Excursions available all year round.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Possibility to build a campfire and bake homemade sausages. Tea provided by us.

12,00 to 15,00 EUR/person. (depending on the workshop chosen).
