Among Latvian ski resorts, the Žagarkalns ski resort stands out for its wide range of possibilities – there are several and very different slopes available here.

Žagarkalns offers 8 slopes of varying difficulty, connected to each other. They are located on several slopes side by side. “Žagarkalns offers both long and gentle slopes and more dynamic slopes with steeper sections and sharp turns.

The largest professional ski school in Latvia is located here and the base is ideal for children and beginners. “Žagarkalns has all the necessary equipment rental and maintenance, as well as a café.

OFFERS

• Full ski and snowboard service: lift, equipment rental and instructor support.
• Downhill skiing.
• Special prices on weekdays for groups of atleast 15 people on the ski and snowboard slopes and at least 10 people on the chamber skiing! ( Groups are welcome from 0Tuesday to Friday, starting at 13:00).
• If the group consists of at least 35 people, the slopes can be opened before 13:00!
• On Mondays the slopes are closed (but please check in advance if the opening times have changed).
• If your group does not fit into our rules and criteria, please call 26266266 and we will try to find a compromise!
• We organise the event on a contract basis (to cover the cost of officials, course and timing equipment).

IMPORTANT

• Registration 2 days before the desired visit,
• Group leader please prepare and submit on arrival 3 lists (with school or institution confirmation and mobile phone number of the responsible person) with information on how many persons are needed:

• Basic rules for school groups can be foundat here!
• Equipment is exchanged from skis to snowboard and back again during the event at an extra cost.
• If there are participants who do not know how to ski or snowboard, it is compulsory to book them in advance with an instructor. Please calculate the time needed to collect your equipment so that you can start your lesson at the correct time! It can take up to 30min.
• A maximum of five students can be registered with one instructor (instructors differ for Snowboard and Ski) and the fee per lesson is € 15.00 for the whole group regardless of the number of people.

ADDITIONAL OFFER

• The Žagarkalns café is open daily and offers a varietyof tastes for skiers. For a quick fix, there is a bistro. Pizza, burgers and fries for the young, otherwise they don’t hide and don’t get old. Healthier food to order – salads, grilled meats, fish.
