Skrīveri Dendrological Park is a unique European natural history monument covering an area of 16 ha, divided into 19 floristic-geographical areas. Maximilian Sivers (1857-1919), owner of the Skrīveri estate, planted the trees from seeds collected in their natural range around the world. It was the first such large-scale experiment in the Baltics. Today, the park has about 250 different species of trees and shrubs.
The park has preserved the castle stairs, a stone card table, a tea terrace, a fountain and the ruins of the castle homestead.
