The ‘Technology of the Past’ Museum
Druvas iela 4d, Ogre

At the ‘Technology of the Past’ museum, you can view an impressive collection of Soviet-era cars. On display are the once-popular ‘Zhiguli’ and ‘Moskvich’ cars, as well as other historic vehicles that offer an insight into the automotive world of the last century. Over time, the museum’s collection has also been expanded to include various Soviet-era exhibits – toy cars, a collection of number plates, petrol pump equipment and other interesting items that reflect everyday life and technological development.

The museum’s exhibition will appeal to car enthusiasts, as well as families with children and school groups wishing to learn about recent history and see vehicles that were once an integral part of everyday life in Latvia and other Soviet states.

The museum is situated not far from the Riga–Daugavpils motorway, just off the road from Ogre towards Daugavpils, making it a convenient stop for family outings and school trips.

– Admission to the museum is by donation.
