The fire correction tower of the Ventspils 46th Coastal Battery – with its adjacent four gun positions – is the only coastal defence battery in Latvia in such a good state of preservation that has retained the principles of World War II fortification. In addition, the tower of the Ventspils 46th Coastal Battery is the only tower of its kind in the Baltic States that has been restored. Visitors can learn about the history of the tower and enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding forests and the Baltic Sea from its viewing platform.
