The name of Lugazi Church first appears in historical sources in 1477. Its tower and interior were rebuilt in 1910 after a major fire in 1907. Gothic, Classical and National Romantic features are present here.
Today, the church serves as a place of worship, but the tower also serves as the city’s observation tower. It offers a wonderful view of Valka-Valga!
