The lookout tower was built in 2021 on the top of Taborkalns at 157.8 m asl, next to the Struve geodetic arc point “Dabors – kalns”. The 28 m high spire combines science with tourism and physical activity, exploring and loving Latvia. The breathtaking views of the Selija hills from the tower with the Daugava and the Vīķezers are also combined with magnificent architecture and world heritage.
