Pokaiņi Forest is a diverse and picturesque place with steep hills, deep valleys and beautiful scenery at any time of the year.
It is located 14 kilometres from Dobele, driving towards Īle, and is an attractive and unusual tourist attraction due to its various stories.
Pokaiņi Forest is home to various sizes of stones, whose peculiar clusters are in larger and smaller groups, stone rivers, heaps and mounds. Many stones and clusters have been named for their interesting appearance and their peculiar arrangement. In the forest you will find the Mother, Father, Namey, Easter, Bride and many other larger and smaller stones and stacking stones. Such a large concentration of stones of different sizes and shapes in one place creates a truly unusual impression, which makes many visitors feel strange energy currents.
The Pokaiņi Forest has 15 km of walking trails, where everyone can choose their own themed walk: The “Health Trail” is made of blocks of different tree species in the form of signs of strength, the “Seasons Gate Trail” introduces the Latvian seasons, and the “Zodiac Circle” invites you to get to know yourself.
