The Oleri marsh was formerly a lake, the level of which was lowered by Baron Kridener, owner of the Oleri manor, around 1860, and now the entire lake has been turned into a marsh.

Next to the trail there is also the Oleru Manor complex, the Cross Stone and the Oleru Manor cemetery.

The trail viewing tower is closed for an indefinite period!
