The Town Hall Square is an ancient gathering place, formerly used as a market square. The old Town Hall, built on its edge, was restored in 2015. The Kuldīga Tourism Development Centre and a small exhibition hall are located here, and folk craftsmen create their wares. There is a monument to the great local actor Ēvalds Valters near the building.
Kuldīga Old Town Hall hosts exhibitions, creative workshops and masterclasses. The historic layout of the rooms and one of the mantel chimneys have been restored, and details of structures and fragments of wall paintings characteristic of the period have been uncovered.
