On the shore of Lake Aluksne, between the current city area and the inner lake, a 32-hectare manor park lazed.
The baronial family added various architectural features to the landscape of the manor park – pavilions, temples, fountains, statues and an obelisk, which can still be seen today.
As a surprise, in the farthest corner of the park, visitors are greeted by a whispering lantern that invites everyone to go to the Mausoleum and explore the story of the park.
The lakeside location and rugged terrain give the Manor Park a special charm!
During the summer season, you can see 5 magical fountains that are illuminated during the evening hours. Two fountains, a circular and an oval one, were installed in the castle park in the time of the Baron Führinghofs and their granite bases can still be seen today. Aluksne is as beautiful at night as it is during the day, but much more mysterious! Technical author of the fountains: Alvits Grīvnieks.
