ABOUT US
The centre is located in one of the historic wooden terraced houses of the paper mill workers in Skolaskalns, where the Līgatne School used to be.
It has a weaving workshop, an exhibition of local crafts and regular crafts workshops. Visitors will learn about loom weaving, celaini weaving (the oldest form of belt weaving), carving, braiding, wool-rolling and doll-making from a variety of crafts.
Of particular interest is paper moulding, during which everyone can mould their own sheet of paper under the guidance of a master, thus learning about the process of making paper for the first time.

Work with one of the selected craftsmen, making a souvenir to take away. Group size from 10 people, workshop duration 30-60 min. Price 4,50/person.
