You don’t have to go far to ski down the slopes in Vidzeme to enjoy the winter on a variety of snowmobiles, snowboards or slalom skis. Here in Kurzeme, in Vaiņode, 60 km from Liepāja, is the Volzbach mountain. It has a steep slope with a beautiful view across a ravine, forming a run of more than 130 m. The hill is gradually rising, and for those who like a sharper feel, it is a real honey bread. And the little ones are not forgotten – a ride down the small hill is just in time!

In other seasons, the Volzbach Hill is a great place for a picnic, a walk. In autumn, Volzbach Hill is one of the best places in Vaiņode Municipality to enjoy the magnificent autumn views, and this autumn a trail with stairs and viewing platforms has been opened.

The hill is easily accessible by car.
