Saw Lake
3km no Valkas centra Varoņu ielas galā, Valka

In the north-western part of the town of Valka there is a lake with an area of 13 ha. The lake is a permeable reservoir formed from the waters of the Pedele River. The lake is part of the catchment area of Lake Peipus. The average depth of the lake is 1.4 m, the maximum depth is 2.1 m. The bottom of the lake is muddy.

Fish in the lake: perch, roach, pike, carp, tench, roach, pikeperch.

The beach of the lake is the only beach close to Valka. The recreation area “Zāģezers” is located in the forest near Zāģezers. Sandy shore, beach volleyball courts, changing cabins and fireplaces.
