This sign is the idea of the association “Atbalsts Valkai” and Imants Šteins, Chairman of the Board of “Pepi RER” Ltd. and a gift to the Valka Municipality Council. The idea and design of the environmental object was created by Andis Blūms.

The sign “VALKA” was unveiled on 22 June 2017 and since then it has been delighting the residents of Lauktehnika district and attracting the attention of drivers and cyclists. It is unique in that the word “Valka” can be read when driving in both directions – from Varoņu Street turning to Parka Street and vice versa.
