The craftsmanship and experience of the master have not only gained popularity among the guests, but also a high professional reputation. In 2017, Jurij’s workshop was awarded the cultural label “Latvian Heritage”. He is the winner of the “Latgale Region Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2018” in the nomination “Craftsman of the Year”. Using a regenerative method, based on authentic samples, the craftsman tries to recreate the best traditions of the Zilupe region. He creates dishes for storing garlic, grits, sweets, salt, trays for a coffee mug or pan. The real masterstroke is the making of tool handles. In the workshop you can make a tassel painting, a tassel butterfly, write a special letter to someone very dear to you.
