Sea buckthorn, which contains more than 180 active substances, has been known in Northern China, Tibet, for more than 2000 years.

The ZELT sea buckthorn garden is located in the middle of Latvia, in Jelgava County, and is special because it is the largest single variety organic sea buckthorn garden in Latvia. The 36 hectares of the garden, which has around 60 000 trees, are home to the ‘Tatjana’ variety of buckthorn, which has a high oil content. Not only the sea buckthorn berries, but also their leaves and bark are rich in vitamins and valuable substances.

In this colourful autumn, we invite both young and old to go on an exciting expedition to the sea buckthorn garden. Everyone can become an expert on sea buckthorn through an educational adventure, completing various tasks and learning about animals, plants, colours and flavours.

A taste masterclass will offer creative expressions, where you can create delicious pancake-based paintings from Latvia’s natural bounty. Enjoy a hot buckthorn drink.

During the autumn excursion:

• we will tell you about ZELT products for health and beauty,
• we will take care of your stomach pleasures by treating you to the Strength Soup and the Rich ZELT bread,
• we will cheer you up with a sunny buckthorn hot drink.

We welcome groups in Latvian, Russian and English.
After the scheduled activities, please linger outside in the garden for your own activities and picnics.
