ABOUT US
Krāslava Crafts Centre started its activity in 2021. The Centre has seven craft workshops where you can get acquainted with ancient crafts, make a whistle maker out of clay, work in the woodworking workshop, feel the interplay of colour and yarn in the weaving workshop, try your hand at making a glass mosaic souvenir in the glass decor workshop, create a leather jewel with your own hands, listen to a lecture in the fragrance workshop, and taste the products of local home producers in the Latgale Culinary Heritage workshop.

- CERAMICS WORKSHOP
- With Olga and Valdis Pauliņš (+371 26869346). The workshop can accommodate up to 40 people. Visitors learn about the craft and, under the guidance of the potters, take part in the making of a ceramic souvenir.
- COCAPTRY WORKSHOP
- With Aivars Andžāns (+371 27062780). The workshop can accommodate up to 20 people. Visitors learn about the craft and, under the guidance of a master woodworker, take part in the making of a wooden souvenir.
- AROMATES WORKSHOP
- With Marina Beļajevs (+371 20181002). The workshop can accommodate up to 20 people. Visitors learn about the variety of aromatic raw materials and the use of incense, herbs, oils and perfumes. A series of practical workshops is also offered. The master, at her choice, leads practical or lecture classes with aroma tasting and aromatic product preparation.
- WEAVING/TEXTILE WORKSHOP
- With Aina Guba (+371 29255396). The workshop can accommodate up to 12 people. Visitors learn about the craft and make a woven or woven souvenir under the guidance of a weaver.
- GLASS DECOR WORKSHOP
With Elvīra Škutāni (+371 28368537, www.kraslavasvitrzas.lv). The workshop can accommodate up to 20 people. - Participants learn how to make stained glass in the Tiffany technique and create a glass mosaic souvenir under the guidance of the master
- LEATHER ROTASLET WORKSHOP
with Ludmila Morozova (+371 28284191). The workshop can accommodate up to 9 people. Visitors learn about the process of creating leather jewellery and learn the basics of craftsmanship, as well as create a leather jewellery souvenir under the guidance of a master craftswoman. Price: EUR 10/hour per person. - LATGALES KULINAR HERITAGE WORKSHOP
(+371 26395176) can accommodate up to 50 people. Visitors enjoy the culinary heritage of the Krāslava region or the products of local home producers (smoked meats, bread, Krāslava cucumbers, cheese, tea, confectionery). Price: for groups (starting from 10 people) – 10 EUR/per person
