Everything simple and insincere is big and beautiful – Voldemārs Jākobsons, a graduate of the Art Academy of Latvia, member of the Artists’ Union of Latvia, sculptor, teacher, boxing champion and European traveller, has proved in his life. When you cross the threshold of the house, you are not only struck by Jākobsons’ works, but also by old household objects and furniture, a shoe collection that includes the mighty traveller’s boots, a small library and photographs that tell about his lifetime.
