The Jūrkalne Nature Recreation Park includes the Wind Farm, the Fire Meadow and two nature trails leading to the centre beach.

The WindFarm has sculptures for all winds – north, south, west and east. The names are engraved in several languages. The sculptures are illuminated at night during summer events.

The fire meadow has an open-air stage, a dance floor, a gazebo and five fireplaces covered with boulders. Concerts, festivals, green balls, fairs and celebrations are held here. The summer solstice on 21 June, celebrated in the Suiti tradition, is particularly colourful. In spring, 50 apple trees planted by volunteers bloom in the meadow, and during the harvest season, the tourist season ends with the Apple Ball.

The Little Nature Trail winds through the seaside forest. Here you can take photos in front of the dwarf wigwam, the witch’s cottage or take a rest in the forest fish alley. The Big Nature Trail leads to the sea.

The idea for the park was conceived in collaboration with Igo Fomina, a well-known Latvian musician, who was inspired by a story about the Latvian people and their spirit, which was born in ancient times by a fire lit by sailors after a miraculous escape from a storm. Hardened by all the winds of the sea, the Latvian spirit is strong and steadfast. It is renewed every time Latvians exercise their desire to come together.
