The Oviši Lighthouse is considered to be the first oldest surviving navigation structure in Latvia. A 33-metre high cylindrical stone tower. The original lighthouse was built in 1844, the present one in 1905. The white beacon, visible 7.5 miles away, lights up every 7.5 seconds. The lighthouse was completed in 1814 and has survived without architectural alterations to the present day. The lighthouse is 38.5 m high and houses an exhibition on the history of lighthouses.
The stone tower has a diameter of 11.5 m and a second tower with a diameter of 3.5 m inside. The height of the tower (without the lantern) is 29.6 m, and the height of the lantern (without the wind indicator but with the base) is 6 m.
