The creation of the Rubene Nature Park began in 1950.
The nature park features ornamental plantings and rock gardens, a water lily-shaped fountain, a pond with an island, and a monument to the poet Rainis by sculptor K.Baumanis.
Visitors can also see rare species of trees – thujas, Siberian white firs, monochrome white firs, red oaks and Douglas firs. The park has several well-equipped recreation areas – a Dwarf Village and a playground with swings.
