St. The bell tower of the Trinity Church is the most visited tourist attraction in Jelgava. Jelgava St. The building of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Jelgava was started in 1574 by order of the Duke of Courland and Semigallia, Gotthard Kettler. It was the first newly built Lutheran stone church in Europe and the largest church in Zemgale. After the church was destroyed in 1944, it was never rebuilt, but the bell tower remained in place. The restored tower has nine floors.

On the 9th floor you can see an exhibition of paintings, and from the 37-metre-high observation deck you can see the panorama of Jelgava city in all directions.

The Tower also houses a conference hall and a tourist information centre.
