From 1866 the manor belonged to the Baron von Reepenack family. In 1921, the manor house was adapted for the purposes of the Staļģene Primary School. The manor house, the servants’ house and the park have been preserved.
Currently, the Staļģenes Secondary School operates in the castle premises, and the Jaunsvirlauka Parish Museum of Local History has found a home in the castle cellar. The servant’s house has been rebuilt and houses the Jaunsvirlauka parish cultural centre “Līdumi” and the tourist information centre.
The manor park offers fresh air and a place to recharge your batteries. The park is spacious enough to keep your distance from other walkers. In the Latvian annual circle in the park, by the signs of strength and seasons carved in stones, you can silently pray for strength and endurance to our ancestors. From the park, along the footpath, you can walk to the Lielupe River, feel its calm flow, and watch the reflection of the sky and the sun in the water.

New!
Within the framework of the project “Tourism Together” , an Annual Traditions Circle has been set up in the park of Stalģene Manor. The circle consists of 8 boulders with a bonfire in the middle, symbolising the eight Latvian seasons. Each of the stones is carved with a sign of the respective season.
A symbolic photo frame has been installed near the anniversary and celebration site overlooking the Lielupe River in Stālģene. It serves as a unifying element in each of the six municipalities involved in the project: Olaine, Ozolnieki, Jelgava, Ķekava, Babīte and Marupe.
