The manor house – the palace – was built in 1780-1782, in the middle of the 19th century it was modernised, giving it a neo-Gothic appearance. It has been destroyed and restored several times. After the destruction of 1905, the castle was restored by its last owner, Baron von Hahnenfeld (buried in Suntaži cemetery). Since 1920 a school has been operating in the castle. The museum has an exposition of the history of the parish and the school. The manor complex includes farm buildings and a park. It is possible to climb the castle tower and enjoy the surrounding landscape. Suntaži castle and manor buildings are an architectural monument of local importance.
